Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Now that's a bike! Not a penis curve shaped fork or stay to be found anywhere.

Wow that's a nice looking bike. I can only imagine your ear-to-ear grin on her maiden voyage.

Do those instead- much better colors.
It has more to do with the photos that the colors or the actual products.

The choice, of course, is yours.

What were you riding before? I've never ridden that frame but I've heard they're good and stiff. With those wheels it should feel pretty tight, non?

Thanks george. I was already saving up to build a road bike and then I stumbled upon this used frame(no fork, headset and seatpost). Bought all the other parts new and built it up.

I ride a 56cm. Check out their website to get the size for your fitting.

I'm guessing you had another bike to ride in the meantime. I could never wait that long without a bike. I recently built a bike from various internet parts suppliers. Ordered all the parts over 2 days and had it built within a week. Then I sold my previous ride.

Nice bike. I'm sure you'll have some great times riding it. I've got over 12K miles on my SLT, and it's been an awesome, dependable machine. One thing: get used to people staring at the bike and asking all sorts of questions about it. There were a couple of kids at my race last night who must have been checking out my bike for 10 minutes.

I usually hate BMC builds. You change my mind on this one. Looks killer. Probably rides even nicer. Enjoy

Brother had to let me borrow his extra bike(Seven) while I was building this bike.
One part I had to wait 2 weeks (CF front derailleur clamp) see pic below. Plus I was in no hurry since I was using another bike. It was a long wait but worth it.

They usually get intrigued with the crosslock. Really looks different I would say.
