Digi Connect Procedure for VDO C3DS
I have 2 of these gauges on my wife's bike and my bike - both with the wireless cadence option. When riding alone the gauge works perfectly. When my wife and I ride together, both gauges stop functioning when we are within 15 feet of each other - lengthen the distance and they work fine again. It seems obvious that the transmitters on one bike are interfering with the transmitters on the other bike.
The Digi Connect procedure is supposed to provide a unique coding for the transmitters and computer on each bike, but I'm not sure I'm doing the procedure properly. Once you get into the Digi Connect reset mode, you push the M button until the readout says ?reset? and starts flashing. You then move the magnet on the wheel and crank arm past the transmitter until you see a green LED light up on each transmitter. Then you push the M button again. I've repeated the procedure several times but we still get the same interference. The bikes are separated by 50 feet or so when we go through the procedure. Any ideas?

Try this the VDO C3DS have quite a long range so when you sync them in make sure they are far apart.
I have 3 VDO C3DS units on different bikes (2 are on my tandem working off 1 set of senders) and when I need to match them up I take one bike to the other side of the house.
So do this start over remove batteries take one bike far away from the other and insert batteries and sync.
Now do the other bike removing it from the same area also, after this you should be ok.
If you have them near each other the unit may sync to the wrong unit.
