What kind of cyclist are you?
Since this is the road forum, only road categories can be chosen. The purpose of the poll is to establish what percentage of people are qualified to judge whether Greg Lemond is a Fred.

To achieve status as a full fledged pcad follower, you must average at least 15 posts per day for three years straight. Only those who are full members may employ posting bots.
And don't forget to ride your bike.

Also, hone those typing skills. Even to get into the kiddie league, you need to average 5 posts per day over 6 months. Full junior status requires 10 posts per day over a year.

Before that, there as a 5 month period of not posting at all.
I've been cranking out 8-10 posts a day since mid-July.

So do I classify as "Road Nazi" if I dream of making jerseys that say "Go 120+RPM or Go home" or have the constant desire to yell "Knees in to win mutha-f#*@a" at half the cyclists I see?

Although multiple choices are given, the actual dynamics are much simpler. Here is what can be inferred from your choice:
Fred = Fred
OCP = Not Fred
Road Nazi = It is possible that you are not a Fred
WTF = Fred
Who cares = Fred
Other = Fred
Fred = Fred
OCP = Not Fred
Road Nazi = It is possible that you are not a Fred
WTF = Fred
Who cares = Fred
Other = Fred

Hmm, between "Fred" and "Who Cares," I chose Fred. Y'all would probably think me to be a Fred if you saw me, on my Bianchi Veloce, with a bell, SPD pedals, "mountain bike" shoes, and bike patrol pants.

tough tough call.....looks as if the choice is between road nazi and Fred.
I'm no sort of nazi and I'll be damned if I'm a fred.
How about .......
Norman.
I'm a proud Norman.

Only multiple Tour de France winners can vote for something like this. I suspect that 0% of the bf.net posters fit this description.

Lemond may have put on a lot of that weight because of all the lead in his body from the shotgun accident. He could not longer work at a high level without getting deep fatigue.

Somehow, in midst of being this complete Dork/Tool/Fred, I managed to take a few medals from the So. Cal championships, a couple medals from Junior Nats, and made a trip to the `88 Junior Worlds in Odense, Denmark. Even squeezed out a win or two while riding for a small Belgian amateur outfit based in St. Niklaas.
I rode side by side with Tom Steels and Peter Van Petegem while they were still just 19 year old `strong boys` from Flandres. Tom, as all you `serious riders` must certainly know, went on to Tour victories, etc., while Peter...need I say more? My engine was not of that caliber. I took my shot. No regrets.
Keep it up you `real cyclists.` Keep looking down on the new folks. Keep laughing at the guy who shows up in knee socks and tennis shoes to his first race. You`re all just so cool.

Given the number of ass monkeys I`ve seen on this forum (*hint hint, thread starter), I happily call myself an ex-cyclist. When I WAS still a cyclist I guess I would have been a Fred. I waited for slower riders, I talked to newbies as equals, I kept groups together by pushing the weaker riders over climbs.
