if I could I would.... everyone should have an S Series Cervelo. I gotta say I am glad how it turned out. It's almost like all the parts I bought were made for this frame. It all matches together nicely.

That's only like a 10g difference. I'd like to get an Extralite at -30g, but the boat achor bars added like 100g over my Syntace bars, but I like them. At that point, I pretty much gave up on making it lighter.

I cut 8g off of mine. You can see if you look at the SLC pic vs. the S2. That last inch or so is such a waste, and it looked goofy. Also my pars were rotated too high in the SLC pic, I changed it 2min into the next ride.

The number of spacers on the stem was set by Scott. Are you saying that in this instance, Scott put more spacers on than they had engineered the stem to handle? Other than increased drag and apparently being uncool, is there a reason to remove the spacers provided it's safe to use them? I ask because the bike is primarily going to be a commuting bike and I'd like to maintain the more upright riding position if I can help it.
Here is yet another example of some one who doesn't know where he/she is posting. No use defending your ugly bike. This thread is not about what works for you. As a matter of fact we don't even care how your bike rides, how you like it to look, how you look like or what your proportions are. You make your bike look good for this thread. Take a nice picture, post it, and then transform your bike back to the ugly thing that works for you. Capiche?

Cool. Presentation makes a big difference. I had a bike go from 'not' to 'hot' just because I re-photographed it.

Spot on. Truth be told, I only posted the picture in here because the visitors of the Road Cycling section are notoriously, for lack of a better term, whiny and high strung. I figured the reactions would be more fun here than the commuting section and I was thoroughly correct.


Regardless of my trolling, there is a whole rainbow of color out there people. You should all strive to be as courageous and handsome as me.

Thanks for the concern, but I've probably ridden 20k miles on my bikes with the hoods setup like that on all of them. It works great for me. Oh yeah thanks for the bike compliment too.

Thanks, I can agree with that. Also not to toot my own horn, but I think my S2 is the best looking S2 I've seen yet. I didn't try to do that. It just kinda happened that way.

Thanks, and thanks also for backing me up on the hood position. You magnesium Campy equipped beauty is always a sight for sore eyes as well. Truth be told, it is my primary race bile. That being said I like to be able to get as low, and aero as possible on it. There is a really great position with the hood setup like this. You basically grab the hoods, bend your elbows, until you rest your wrist on the bars. It's a great position for long efforts, such as bridging a gap, or trying to ride someone off your wheel. BTW, I wonder how many noobs on here wonder why people say OCLV, and I respond???
