from a purely aesthetic standpoint i think bikes equipped with anything from shimanos current lineup is at a disadvantage. it has been a number of years since shimano has produced a genuinely pretty group.
i wouldnt call sram groups pretty, but they at least have a clean and simple lines that dont distract from the overall build.
campagnolo has some very pretty parts but as a whole i think there groups have slipped from a visual standpoint. i think the last year of record 10 was a great balance of traditional and modern styling.

I am always thankful for prayer but what is the reason? 11spd is great but from a pure visual standpoint the ergo levers, brakes, hubs, and wheelsets just don't match up. From a function standpoint I think the new stuff is great. I would trade my record10 for 11 given the chance.

I guess the understanding that opinion is individual has completely escaped this brilliant set of keyboard warriors on this forum. I personally love the way DA stuff looks. Of course I think SRAM stuff looks better, as long as you have a black/white/red bike. Otherwise, it looks terrible. While Shimano may have been the wrong move visually for that particular bike, to act like SRAM or Campy stuff will ALWAYS look better on peoples bikes is an f'n joke. I have seen some Microshift setups on Offbrand cranks that look nicer than some people SRAM setups on this forum. But hey it's all a matter of opinion. But it's kool, if it was up to some of you guys, every single bike would be SRAM RED or Campy SR11. Then, no bikes would be hot, they would all be the same.
