It's not the colours, it's the stem and the wheels.
However, I agree that sometimes photos don't do justice to many things.

It's not just the colors which are a terrible combination no matter what time of day it is - there's also the ridiculous stem and seat tube. I'm guessing the bike is 4cm or so too small for you. Sorry, but I'm definitely gonna go with Not.

well you are entitled to your opinion, but it looks amazing in person. no matter how i photograph it, the colors come out looking weird. but i have gotten nothing but compliments on the paint colors, especially from those who saw the same frame ridden by team Z in the 1990 TDF. the carbon fades look stunning in bright sunlight.

Just posted this here with specs. And yes that is a full carbon TVT Lemond from 1990.
Mixing modern with old can be cool - as in this bike (mine) from earlier in the thread.

It's a Nitto Technomic stem, they are specifically designed to be extra tall like that. The stem is not out past the maximum mark. And yes, the frame is around 57-58cm, while I should be riding a 60cm, so that is why the seatpost and stem are so high. I got (more like stole) the bike for $250, so I was not that concerned that it fit me perfectly. If I get a lot of money sometime soon then I will get a high-tech sleek modern bike like all you guys have, but for now this bike rides and looks great.

While I personally don't like Specialized bikes and way less Bontrager anything, I will have to bend the rules here.
HOT!!
