I say not. sorry. Maybe pictured differently. We gotta have some consistency on what we call hot or not in the thread.

    -cross chain
    -mirror
    -pump
    -saddle bag
    -huge spacer stack
    -little/no saddle to bar drop

Consistency? You're never going to get that in a forum where people express their opinions. And if I recall, the OP of this thread was basically a call for opinions. "Hot... r not?" If someone wants to say Hot, great. If someone else thinks it's not hot, well that's fine, too. Big deal.

I'm gonna go ahead and call the Colnago a Hot, because I like the way it looks. Big deal. All City fixie is also Hot, except I don't care for the saddle too much.

I agree with this, but for me the Colnago is a not at least in part for the reasons stated.

Simmer down just a bit mang. I'm not saying YOU or anyone else can't say it is hot. I'm simply saying that when people get all hardcore about the "rules" and then turn around 2 pages later (not saying anyone did this, just generalizing) and claim a bike to be hot when it has just about everything aside from travel bags and a sleeping bag tied to the back, it makes me shake my head. If you are one to (again generalizing, not saying YOU) that overlooks the seatpost bags or cross chaining, then by all means but if you are also a person that is barking about then"rules" then stick by them and be consistent.

The Colnago could be hot with some changes. As-is it's too cluttered looking. The wheels and white tires are the biggest offenses. The mirror looks like a goiter.

Aesthetically ergo bars are really never a good choice. There are so many good choices in compact and shallow classic bend bars these days I don't understand why anyone would run bars with an ugly bend that limits where they can comfortably put their hands in the hooks.

On the plus side the frame looks great and I think the black components and black bar tape work with it well.

I don't own that bike, but I can provide insight. For referance, I ride more in the hooks than on the hoods.

yes, ergo bars (deda 215s with wide flats) only given me one comfortable position in the hooks and one in the drops.

most classic bars only give me one position in the drops and nothing in the hook. they often have a tight bend in the hooks that feels uncomfortable in my wide palm

i just got compact bars and they seem to be the answer but until recently, they were not readily avalible in 26mm. Because of this, I still own some ergo bend bars.

+1. I really like the frame, but I agree the bike would look a lot better with much more 'stealth' wheels/tires. Seems like there are at least 3 shades of red there. The saddle, stem, and finishing tape (and rim decals?). Anno red in the hubs (and single spoke?). Deep red of the frame. It all looks close (and I'd have to see it in person), but that's really hard to pull off. Still, it's a nice set-up for sure.

Can confirm, used to ride 50/34, my CAAD has a 53/39. I frequently wish I had a 50/34.

Not enough riding done yet to report out. Just got them finished and home last night. They did build up nice and round to 1263 grams FWIW.
