Should have gotten a bigger frame. The super long seat tube, angled down seat, super angled up stem, and upward rotated handlebars just look awkward

Looks like you need a setback post

They sure are. They also dont go on carbon fiber bikes?! Why talk about how much your bike weighs when you could drop a full pound by changing saddles? Its hard for me to comment because this looks terrible. I get it if you are a brooks fan, but this is an aesthetics based thread.

I see y'all's points. I knew some of the reactions I would get. I leveled the saddle and squared the handlebars. I actually had it fitted to me by a LBS, but it was impromptu type. I will get it done for $100 an hour in a few weeks. I am keeping the Brooks though.

That's a Michael Jordan's bike I guess.

As others have commented, the height and tilt of the saddle and angle on the handlebars are distracting; however, I can get past all that, because it can all be fixed by staging it better. It's still a hot bike.

I have a short torso with long limbs. I think i would be more comfortable on a smaller frame I'm always just worried there wont be enough seat post.

I just got it and set it up myself, I have'nt had it in for a fitting yet. I'm wanting to ride it a few times before i start flipping the stem and rearranging spacers. The saddle use to be flat, it's more comfortable this way. I'd rather have a comfortable saddle angle than a saddle angle that lookes better in pics. I'll post more pics later on after the fitting, I was just really excited about a new bike so I had to ***** it out.

I'm with the others, that ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ looks like a strange setup. Eithers the frames too small you're a mutant :) How tall are you and what size frame have you got? I'm like you too (mutants unite), only 174cm but have a crotch bone to floor or 85cm, my saddle height from centre of BB to top of saddle is 735mm. I ride a 54cm with effective TT of 55cm. The stem is 110mm and is faced down.

Yeah, your right I do, but I'm balking at the money for a matching carbon setback seatpost right now. I'm a cheap bugger sometimes.

I'm just under 6 feet tall with a 34 inseam. It's a 56cm frame, has a 100mm steam, my old bike was a 56 with a 90mm stem turned down and i always felt stretched out. The saddle height on this bike is pretty close to my old bike, I'm sure my fitter will make some minor adjustments,

cerealkilla 07-27-13 07:37 AM

I'd say thats the right size frame for your height and inseam! Have you tried the traditional method of arse on seat and heal on peddle?

Is that your actual cycling inseam? If it is, it's pretty much normal for your height, if not even a bit short, and it would make your saddle way too high as it is set up right now.

im just a little over 6 feet tall with a 34 in inseam and I wouldn't dream of a 56cm bike. I've got a 57cm top tube with a 130mm stem. What is your saddle height from the axle and tip of saddle to center of bars? I know we are not exactly the same size and I know there are variables in these measurements, but it will give a ballpark.

You can make the bike all black but if you don't add any decent lighting for the picture, how can it be visible?

bianchi10 07-27-13 08:10 PM

I am excited to see a proper picture of that caad10. Till then I won't say anything

Hell I dunno. My last bike was fitted to me 2 different times by 2 different fitters, they both came up with a saddle height about this high. Like I said, I haven't had a fit yet, I'm just ball parking it the best i can for now until I get to him. I should have waited to post the pic. Sheesh.
