Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

yes, but keeping with the aero theme, they straightened out the top tube for a better aero profile.

I hate the look of the compact frame. A slight slope on the TT (like the Addict R3 pictured above) looks ok, but the seriously sloping TT just looks like a childs bike to me.

Not. Its a great frame, but for some reason it looks so boring. Oddly enough, I think if you would put black seatpost and stem on it to stealth it out, it would help. Nice bike, dont get me wrong, just doesn't do anything for me.

It's the shallow bars, no cages, and black rims that make that CAAD look plain. If it had some king cages and polished rims it would complement the post and stem better, and deeper bars would make the front end look less cramped (though the zero-offset post and short stem make it look like he could have gone done a frame size).

that's all fine, really. it fits me and I enjoy the way it rides (makes me want to ride more).

I've never really been a fan of big or small logos on everything... it's supposed to be understated/subtle.

for my own purposes, it's hot enough for me

Absolutely love the Addict with Dura Ace 9000, perfect match with design. Propel hot of course and since I'm a Domane fan boy I'd give it a hot too albeit surprised that you went with the red/wht on a Project One bike.

R1Lee, here's a tip if you don't have it already, get the sw-600 remote shifter for the bar tops. Reasonably priced and well worth it. I figure if you're going to invest in electronic shifting you should take advantage of all the extra benefits I just installed mine yesterday and for sustained and steep climbs it's been fantastic.

Not unless you come up to my neck of the woods! Actually even where I am it's not super necessary, but I have a lot of rides where I climb for miles on end and spend much of my time on the tops. I have a ride coming up with a sixteen mile sustained climb that I thought this would be a fun add on. Obviously not hard to move to the hoods, but I figured when in Rome...

I have the sw600 switch, unfortunately because I have flat aero bars, it makes it difficult to mount. The curvature of the sw600 is meant to go on round bar, unless I file it down which I don't want to do.

the domane cost more then what I wanted to spend at the time, especially with the other upgrades (zipp fc 202, pro evo stealth, xxxl saddle) Plus, going with a stock color would probably be easier to resell. Overall I'm very happy with the color of the bike, it's gorgeous in person. The red is a fire pearl red and it just pops.

seeing it in person, it looks much better then my propel and my old tcr which was also stealth black.

As i was browsing the collection of beautifully groomed steeds, I started to think "I wonder if that dude with the $10,000 dollar bike actually looks like a dude who would own a $10,000 bike..."
New thread of you and your bike? I guess we couldn't call it hot or not since i don't swing that way...

For those that like red, this might be nice, but to me it looks like a circus clown bike with the garish paint job. At least it matches!

Having said that, it appears set up nice and assertive.

Not for me, too. I like a little red here and there but that's just toooo much.

I don't care for the red/white Trek Madone color scheme, either. Or the blue/white ones.
