What is "NYET"?

I think after ten years of having this bike it might be time for something new. Considering either the r5 or s5. It will feel nice to upgrade.

Campy Chorus shifters, Campy Athena FD & RD
Shimano Ultegra drivetrain (Had to due to Swiss-threaded BB)

Rides like a dream and I love it. Weighs in at 19.0 lbs including pedals and cages.

Note: I'm probably going to go with all-black bartape next time.

I posted this same bike a few pages back with a crappy night-time picture and build in-progress. I hope this picture vindicates it.

^ I love it. True, not crazy about the bar tape color, but if you change, seems like it'd be a shame to go with black. Maybe the orange in the frame color? Or maybe some yellow in the tape somehow. Love your black crankset and the silver seat post and stem. I'm not a typically a fan of older bikes but that one is HOT to me.

When I first built this up almost two years ago, it was 15.3lbs with Sram Red-black, Enve 65s, Enve stem/handlebar, Rotor 3D+... I haven't weighed it since. I'm sure it's slightly heavier with EPS but I've never been a ww to begin with.

I'd be torn because both bikes share similar ride characteristics, but I'd choose the Ridley at the end of the day. One thing I noticed with the Ridley (even with the older 2011 Noah I had test ridden) was that its very easy to get the bike up to speed. Handling is spot on, and I haven't had to second guess myself on descents as it feels very stable. The 2012-current models have slightly improved in comfort due to the different carbon layup from previous years. I've done a back to back century on the Ridley and on the De Rosa; the edge in comfort definitely goes to the De Rosa.

4) the carbon bottle cages inspire no confidence at all. I'm gonna switch back to more secure cages for all the races with crap roads.

I normally absolutely hate the look of Specialized bikes, and without the colors on yours I'd probably hate it too... but you've got it setup beautifully and the colors take it to another level. I have some plans on doing some 90's-esque custom paint on a bike in the future. Neon colors and polished metal for sure.

HOTTT... I think the bartape looks great as is. That isn't the original fork is it? Looks almost like a Wound Up fork, but your picture is small and hard to see. Nice job on the retro-modern!

Yes, that's a Wound Up. Sorry about the picture quality, was taken by cell phone and the bike has a fresh coat of polish on it,
No idea why it's so small on the forum, the picture is twice the size when I open it locally on my pc.
