The bars, I'm not sold on them yet either. I love them in the drops but I cannot get comfortable on the hoods.

Unfortunately we have to with as it is as it is presented - I've been burned by that too lol. Want to make sure it's in it's Sunday best before throwing it up here. No worries and hopefully you can put some miles on that bad boy here soon.

Got 20 on it this morning and had zero gas left in the tank. Between the antibiotics and puking all weekend, I have NO energy to go any further. Seat came down 5mm and is set, swapped bars again, still looking for the perfect set. Think I'm close but want to try 5mm shorter reach and 10mm less drop if I can find a set. I want to be able to ride comfortably in the drops AND on the hoods. The other set I couldn't get the hoods set to be comfortable at all and you look funny climbing a hill at 12 mph in the drops lol.

I would suggest looking at Ritchey Logic curve bars. Sounds like it fits what your after.

Thanks for the tip, just looked them up and that's definitely about the numbers I'm looking for. Now I've just gotta find them in stock in black.

I got a few more weight reduction upgrades in the works ;)

Nothing. Just in a different thread lol.

Edit: Although I am looking for an Easton EC90 fork that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Would drop 300g compared to the woundup.

The bike looks great...I'm kind of jealous that your pink hubs are brighter than my pink hubs.

I like this very much. Good combination of classic and modern components. Well done!

Funny? I'm almost always in the drops when climbing, even out of the saddle. Don't think it's that uncommon.

It's not rare. That means that it's time to go down, take out some spacers.

Jeremy_S 07-17-15 06:52 PM

I'm 5mm from slammed with a -6 stem. I "could" go lower and I ran fulling slammed for two longer rides but it caused a bit of discomfort in my neck, nothing more.

I've got a set of zipp service course sl 80 bars on now and I "think" I'm in love.

I was about to write the same thing. Hey, how's that rear wheel and aero seat tube working for you?

I'm not against white bar tape, but those bars look like they're made of marshmallows.
I think light gray or silver would be better in this case if you want some contrast.

I take your point - other than the frameset and cables everything is a legacy from my previous build/colour way. I'd actually like some s-works aero bars with minimal tape.

Not...I love old steel, even stuff of all qualities, but it just looks so heavy and dinky (the shifters look like they could snap off) for something that you obviously take care of and want to ride. For long ride, road cycling- NOT. For a "getting around town" bike- super hot.

Might as well cross-post mine from the Other Thread:

I've never seen a black inc that I would give a "not" too.

Edit: to clarify, not saying yours is a not, just saying all of them are hot.

Made some changes that I think have helped - or at least I think so?.
