Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Thanks. I love the bike. Before the powertap and with the tubulars, it was under 6kg. Frame weight with the collar, bolts, and der hanger was 850g. And it's comfortable and as stiff as my BMC.

Everything screams hot aside from the stem really...
i am torn over the stem... at some point in the future I'll be able to save about 150g by switching out the stem and bars. I did want to give it a go since sometimes I really like the look, but other times I want something a little more subdued. In better light it does look good, however.

I did did fix the housing at the rear dérailleur, as well as the b tension. Looks a lot better to me. I'm tempted to leave the Thomson alone for now, since my seat is perfect.

I'd do a black stem to match the seatpost, personally.

How'd you guess. Actually a lot of the spacers are going away soon. It's a new bike and I'm dialing in the fit - as well as trying to get more fit.

Yeah black decals would minimize it - still a sweet bike.

Nice, but RD cable is a bit loopy. Looks like it could catch on something.

Yeah, I noticed it after the pic and fixed it. Needed to adjust b tension so I could get a 90° insertion. Was able to trim about 4". Still a bit long, but much nicer.

You did see what I posted about this horrible pic earlier right.

-Mismatched groupset Meh - I always mismatch my groupsets. Never bothered me or a lot of others aesthetically. Starting from the first bike in this thread.
-Dirty bar tape
-Bottle cages that aren't ArundelNot a fan of Arundel cages. Don't think they're anything special. I do like the Blackburns I have
-Fuji I have ALWAYS loved SST's. I really dig the metallic blue on matte black color scheme on this one. Have a thing for blue in case no one has noticed.
-Saddle bag given - part of the crappy pic I took. Oh trust me I can do more with that
-Oval components Not sure what the beef is here. The wheels did suck but got rid of them. No choice with the seat post - it is proprietary. Stem and handlebars are ok. Really want some 3T Aeronova handlebars though - love the shape. Might as well get a 3t stem at that point I guess.
-Disaster of cabling up front Ok - guess I could do better there. This is stock with the bike though.
-Rear derailleur housing too long Don't agree with you on this. Think it is about right
-Stem spacer tower - Really short head tube on the bike. Still pretty healthy saddle to bar drop in the pic, but am getting rid of some spacers soon
Like I said - this is what I post after I had some drinks on a Friday afternoon/evening, lol. Craptacular poorly staged cell phone pic. It is the Hot r Not thread so I deserve what I got commin'.

I'm just giving you a hard time. On another forum I'm on we absolutely tear into each others bikes like that. I have a mismatched groupset on every bike I own and a saddle bag on most of them, I'd just take it off for a pic though

.....and a new build for my wife,

Stripped and rebrushed an old frame, and put new stickers on, green scheme was her idea. TT seat and carbon post is temporary. Considering a polished Thomson.
