How to make it hot? I really don't like plain black and white bikes, but this was less than half of costs and had zero miles on it so I had to take it and couldn't pass the deal by.
The question is what would you do to make it hot? I was thinking about maybe some type of decal on the seat tube to add some color or maybe a tribal decal down the center? I could change the seat bar tape and pedals, but I was hoping to do something a bit more inventive if possible. Any suggestions?

Different stem.
Black bar tape.
Black saddle.
Angle bars down a bit.
Remove reflectors.
Replace pedals with anything other than plastic with reflectors.
Take drive side photo and post.

Swap the seat post out with something other than a cobblergobbler or whatever that atrocity is.

Steerer to be cut soon and new saddle on the way.
Unfortunately the white decals by the presta valve are clear-coated.

I was going to ask why you got those wheels, then remembered they were standard. No need to change them - as stock wheels go, they're nice, and they're nice looking, too, but they look better on the Propel, I think.

I dig the giant and I'm not even mad at the wheels.
The giant wheels come tubeless ready, don't they? That's a pretty sweet option to come standard on their bikes. I really think Giant is doing a lot of things right.

My new commuter...
I threw the ENVEs on just for ****s and giggles, doesn't look bad with them but they're for the next bike build. Other than an updated wheelset somewhere down the road, I think this is pretty much done.

You're lucky (being in AZ I guess does the trick) being able to use a bike like that as a "commuter".. no fenders, rack, lights nor whatnot..

My reply, "why would I ever need fenders?!"
For the most part, I just drive once a week or so and take in all my changes of clothes and everything else at that time. Luckily, I don't have to do much work out of the office, so no need to bring the laptop home.
Also, I opt to Zwift on the days when the weather looks bad. It rains about 30 days a year, no sense in riding in it.

I'll give credit to my shoes, they were nearly dry by the time I got home.

I had Campy Record on my previous bike. It was good, but so is the latest Shimano stuff. On this build, I saved on the groupset and spent the money on the wheels and a power meter (it is a Pioneer left sided system; can't see it in that picture).
