Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Whooosshhh. What model and year is that Lynsky. Beautiful bike, did you pay the extra 2000 to have them polish it or did you go a different route. Any maintenance to hold the polish? The decals, do they scrape off easily or are they clear coated on?

2008 R320, and no, I polished it. Took a good 30 to 40 hours of work. No maintenance whatsoever, I just windex it clean when needed, and hit it with the polish once or twice a year. The decals come off easily with goof off, however they are extemly durable, and glossy. You can get about any color you want from lynskey, along with a new head badge for $50.00. Nice if you want to change the look.

What handlebar and bar tape is that?

So I am testing out Fizik Antares. I kinda dig the orange and might keep it like that since I cant afford a regular one right now If I do like this saddle. Kinda matches the stickers on my wheels. What do you think?

I'm sure it's a nice bike, but not.
Saddle tilt, cranks, and most importantly selective color highlighting. Yuck.

Soloist - How much flex do you get in those handlebars? Have you done any real climbing with them yet? If so, did it affect your hand positioning or feel because of the flex/shape? I am very interested and looking at similar bars integrated into a stem. Just curious what the real feel difference is over different situations. Beautiful set of bars though. They look fast as hell.

Also, why don't I see them on Zipps website?
Edit: Nevermind I fond em. The VukaSprint.. Wow, very nice!

Funny thing is that the saddle is only about 2 degrees higher than level in the front. I was using a wide angle lens which distorts the angle. And it totally is Bin Laden's basement. He was planning in crashing it into something, so I took it away.

What kind of polish? So you got the brushed finish and were able to get it to this mirror like finish with polish alone?

The R320 I assume is the older version of the R340, correct?

Yes it is one year older. To polish I started with scotchbrite pad #7447 always going around the tubing in the same direction as it is brushed. Rememer when polishing that you are actually removing material, though it is a small amount. Make the groves almost non existant. Then use Mothers billet polish ( not mag and aluminum) and buff it in the same direction until your arms fall off......gloss finish!

Solid Pinney. I'd say you were around 55deg before. Anytime you go from Shimano to Red, it is going to rate well. I give it a 100deg as it stands now. Nice improvement. However couple things. Why are the valve stems so long? If you put a neg 17deg stem, and cut the excess steerer off it would be another 20deg hotter or so.

The Pina looks like a solid ride. It'd be off the charts with some 404's or deeper...
