Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Thanks! For the most part I prefer the aesthetics of "classic" shaped bars, but I'm finding for myself the ergo type bars are just a little to comfortable to pass up.

Possibly on the seat height, haven't ridden this on much yet. I do tend to like frames a little on the large side for some reason.

I've been out of commission for a bit so I'm a little late with this, but, haaaaught!

It's clean and sharp, but not hot. It's very bland and boring.

I think "bland" and "boring" is what makes it hot. You see it and you think, "meh, cheap gray bike" and then you look at it closer and realize its a damn nice bike.

I think the Parlee is hot. I like the graphite/black combo. I'd have no reservations owning/riding it. It reminds a little of the Colnago C59 Nero I like so much.

I think that Parlee is probably one of those bikes that photos don't do any justice.

Some of us older guys need the extended head tube option for all day riding, but I agree that it distracts a little from the classic look..

From a looks perspective I obviously prefer subtle and muted paint schemes, but gray and black bikes are hard to get pics of with my amateur level of photography skills.

Yeah, I have wanted to slam my stem for a long time but have recently come to grips that it isn't for everyone. As much as it pains me to say, I would rather chose comfort than vanity in this situation. love your bike

It's strange to me the Parlee does the longer head tube like that. Seems like they could just bring the top tube up a bit and reduce the amount above.

I have plenty of opinions in life, but not enough to offer Bob Parlee bike design advice. It is pretty frigging comfortable, though.

Your opinion matters most. He would not have much to do if you and others did not buy his stuff.

Slam those stems, you fatties! lol.

I started high and worked my way down over time, I found the more I rode the easier it was to get lower. The downside, I had to take a couple off weeks of recently and when I got back on the bike I missed those spacers.
