Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

A prime example of you don't have to slap a deep dish wheel to make a bike hot. I think lot's of people can get away with an ugly set up by just slapping on some 50mm carbons.

2014 Specialized Allez, size 52
Sram Red 10/Quarq
KCNC brakes
Reynolds 66 tubular/continental sprinter

wheels/quarq/stem/handlebar/brakes already owned or used on a previous bike
shifter/FD/RD are new, but had been purchased long before i bought this frame.

original plan was just to upgrade my 2002 Giant TCR alu frame to SRAM red (its my crit bike). but this frame is only $880 and it has the same geometry as my tarmac. So now this is my race bike. I will cut the top of the steerer once the fit is confirmed. I'm turning my TCR into full-on commuter/rain bike/travel bike.

blue brakes/pink cables. yes i did this on purpose.

save10,
You're Allez is ridiculously hot. That wacky color scheme works in a psychedelic sort of way.

Thank goodness it's not EPS/Di2 compatible; my Ti project would've been pushed back to 2015. Great looking frameset!

I was down to that frame or a CAAD10 and I could not make up my mind. In the end, I chose the CAAD10. Very nice frame.

The Allez is by far the hottest bike I've seen in this thread.
You now need to wear this kit while riding it-
