Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Original plan is to wrap the bar in white, but I'm kind of thinking black gives it a nice balance. What do you guys think? White tape/ black hoods, or black tape/ white hoods? Got the new invisisram chain and cables, sorry it's in the small ring.

Not digging the logo on the seat post. And you need to cut the tube. Think you could go either way with white or black tape... if going black, you might want to try a black saddle.

All that said... I'll give it a hot.

I like it, but I'm partial to white bikes. I'd go with white tape. IMO the only color for hoods is black.

gadabout, I didn't know ANYONE was partial to white bikes, lol. So good to know you stand out.

As to the criticism to that gravel grinder, uh, this is the ROAD cycling Hot R Not thread, so obviously it's gonna have to be smoking hot in order to garner praise here. And that's no *********, whatever that means. That's just as plain and obvious as the nose on your face.

Now, more HOT bikes, please...

Ray, I'm glad you posted it, because it is a very different bike. Lighting is awful and I can't tell too much but I actually like the orange/gray look to it all. Not my cup of tea, and certainly not HOT, but an interesting bike, nonetheless.

Other than a dirty ds chainstay from chainslap, I don't really think it gets much dirtier than my dark bikes.

I've settled on my next frame, it will be white/red. Not the prettiest frame, but it sure was comfy on a long test ride.

Haha, we need to lighten the mood around here lately, everyone is all edgy. I'm guessing this has to do with the crappy winter and slow starting spring everyone went through this year.

You know what they say about mopeds, fat chicks, and Treks. I can't wait for the responses in this thread when I post the completed build.
