Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

If you already have the photo on an online host, you can use image tags around the URL of the photo and it'll display full-size in the thread: [ IMG ]photoURL[ /IMG ] (no spacing within the brackets, though)

Fuji isn't bad but not hot in my opinion. The color of the logos on the wheels don't appear to match the bike. Don't care for the shape of the bars and not a fan of the aesthetics of that saddle. Bike has a lot of potential to be smokin though.

I do not like the wheel decals (and I usually don't mind wheel decals), bars, shifter position, or the angle of the photograph, but the bike itself has potential (in my opinion).

You can't argue opinion in regards to how things LOOK. But I am pretty sure it is the angle of the photo. Those shifters look spot on - along with the handlebar setup. (At least in regards to technical guides)

It's not the handlebar position I don't like it's the actual bars. I don't like them...

WOW! That. Is one busy, blinding bicycle. I love color, and bright color is good too, but mismatched bike colors so close to one another is just awful. If the wheels were debadged, and the hoods weren't white and the cages weren't mismatched and it had different bars, I think it could be smoking hot. As it is, there is just TOO much going on for it to come close to being hot. It's screaming "Look at me!" but a truly hot bike doesn't need to scream. The great part of all of this is that frame has potential to be truly hot. I don't think my 60cm frame has ANY chance of being hot… lol.

BillyD, can I give you a tiny word of advice? Quit treating us like we are 12 year olds. We understand that these are all opinions. If you have to moderate, doing it a bit quieter might also help your image around here. Your moderating is a bit heavy handed. Just lighten up a little, we're all friends here, right?

This doesn't represent dogma or velominati rules. It represents the adherence to good aesthetics. You see most the bike adds using similar approaches. Not because the velominati say so, but, because it helps make a bike look good.
Well said. And if a poster doesn't do those little things? @BillyD we can feel free to call them out on it. After all, they put their steed online looking for opinions.

Hot looking ride bet it stings like a bee! And well staged I might add!

-placed on level ground
-neutral non-distracting background
-valve stems at 6 o'clock - well pretty close anyways ;-)
-no bags, cue sheets or other paraphernalia mounted
-cages bidon free
-chain on the big dog and a smallish cog such that the rear derailleur cage points down attractively
-cranks not at 180 or 90 degrees

These simple things show your appreciation and respect for your steed and let us admire it without distractions.

That leaf on the ground is pretty distracting though. I guess it's better than a turtle.

Ha ha! I decided to let the leaf slide since the poster had done a pretty good presentation job all around. I guess I missed the turtle, did someone have one in their hot r not post? Ok to be completely OCD I would have removed the leaf and placed the bike evenly centered between the two fence posts (or whatever they are) in the background.

Much appreciate that people notice that. I know the color isn't for everyone. but I can only have so many black/Red bikes without wanting something different.

Yes, the damned leaf blew in the picture and kept coming back everytime. I did take the pic with a cell phone though, so I am sure with a tripod I would have much better success.

OK here's mine. 1987ish lugged 531 Reynolds Rodriguez. Full Campy. I just mounted Trigger Pro 33mm hardpack tires to test fit for an upcoming gravel Fondo. They fit but barely. The beauty of older frames with "long reach" brakes.

Sorry no turtle but I had to shoo a chicken out of the frame.

Hot. Would be hotter if the tires had tan sidewalls.

Yes I know it's not technically a Road Bike but I saw the one above and figured close enough. This is what I did with the group I took of my Giant Defy from earlier...

That's a crazy high rise seat, are you sure you got the right frame size, how tall are you? Is that some kind of extender on it? What do you use this steed for if you don't mind my asking: cyclocross? commuting? rain bike?

Nice cave, I'd like a visit. The powder blue Centurion is my favorite. I like to stumble across a vintage high end Centurion for a deal at the bike yard and make a sunny day retro racer out of it. Keep the DT shifters and I've got some old 600EX gum hooded levers.

Im 5'11" frame is a m/l which is a 56cm I believe same as my other bike, seat is higher than on my road bike but I was professionally fitted to both. Seat in relation to bottom bracket is about the same. It's just the seat mast clamp that comes on these bikes which have an integrated seat post. I use it for trail/path riding but it is a cyclocross frame just with a compact chain ring.
