Diadora Leggera road shoes?

Diadora Leggera road shoes?
Does anyone know anything about these shoes? I can't find a review anywhere except one post on a message board where one guy didn't like them too much.
Performance has them for $49 (originally $99) and I want to get some real road shoes. I've been using my MTB shoes but I think I want something a little stiffer for the road. I am also thinking of getting some speedplay pedals. And I don't want to spend $200 on the shoes.

Diadora have a very narrow toe box. I once had a pair of Diadora, I hated them. I now ride in Carnacs. Don't go cheap on shoes your feet will thank you after 6 hour in the pedals.

Well, if you don't have wide feet Diadora shoes are great (Carnacs have huge toe boxes)! I have long, narrow feet and I've only ever ridden in Diadoras. If you're normal, the Diadora shoes should be good, too.
I don't have any experience with the exact shoes you mentioned, but I would recommend the brand because they're very well made (I've had some for years) and for the most part look pretty good.

I have very wide feet (I normally wear 2E), and I own a pair of these. They're not very comfortable. Also, not good if you have high arches like me... the footbed is like pancake flat. I get hotspots in the balls (of my feet 
) on really long rides.
However, I bought them when they were on sale at Nashbar for $40. At $40, the price is right!!!

I bought these from Performance right after Christmas for $49. I wear a 9 and have slightly narrow and flat feet. I installed the heavy Speedplay Zero clips and intended to use them on my roadie. At the same time, I purchased a pair of Northwave Revolution's (new on ebay for $60) for my CX and put the light Shimano SL cleats on them. The weight difference was substantial and I fell in love with the Northwaves. The NW's soon became my #1 shoe and I switched the Speedplay cleats to them.
Now, with the lighter Look style cleats on them, The Diadoras seem to fit and ride much better. I realize this is pyschological but I really like them a lot more now. I still like the Nortwaves better, but all in all, I'm very happy with both.

I also have wide feet and I picked up a pair of Leggeras when they first went on sale. I like them very much so far. No width problems, nice stiff sole, and I love the three straps. I personally think they look great too. Excellent shoes for the money.

Thanks for the responses. My feet are pretty normal-sized. I actually tried these on at the Performance shop in a 45 and they felt comfortable. But they're $20 less online. I just wanted to make sure they weren't junk that would fall apart two weeks after I buy them. For $49 I probably can't go wrong.
