carbon wheel
Hi!
My question is which rim depth should i have in my bike? 50mm ? 60mm ?
is the 60mm more aerodynamic? let´s say that the weight is the same in both wheels.
I´m a triathlon athlete and the biggest event I ride is the Olympic 40 km ( 25 miles )
i´m 75 kg (165 lbs ).
My bike is a trek madone 5.2 2007
50mm pros and cons??
60mm pros and cons??
thank you

What rims would you use?
The shape of the rims and the kind of tires you have would be more important than just rim depth.

There there is any significant elevation gain, I would use the 50's.
You can't compare different rim shapes and depths while ignoring the weight of the rims.
The Michelin Pro Race 3's, although narrow and plenty aero, have a greater amount of rolling resistance compared to a few other clincher tires available.
If you already have them, then don't worry about it, but if you are still shopping, then find some Vittoria Open Corsas or Michelin Pro Race 2's.
