Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Does the Giro have anything like the Etape? I am going to go for some of the Giro next year and would love to ride a stage...

not that i'm aware of, but then again, with so many gran fondos, that cover significant stretches of giro stages, you're spoiled for choices.

*edit*

here's an incomplete list: https://www.biciveneto.it/granfondocalenda.html

Agreed...that will be my second choice.

The Etape seems to cover Mtn stages a lot or they did last year. I would like something a bit flatter if possible.

We will see!!! Thanks!
