Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hi-tech water bottle?

Has anyone tried the GU2 water bottle with the compartment for gel in it? It seems like such a nifty idea, but before I buy a couple I thought I'd see if anyone has used them. It would be really cool to be able to store your gel in your water bottle and access it that way instead of having to carry the flask in my jersey pocket along with all the other junk I lug around. But often these great sounding ideas are pretty lame in the implementation.

I assume it's just a branded Gel-Bot:
https://www.gel-bot.com/

If so then yes...I've been using them all season. They work great...easy way to drink/eat and not mess with gel packets. I've been using it for Hammer Perpetuem as well which I just mix in a bowl and pour into the gel chamber. Easy to clean...no issues.
