That's pretty cool actually to see him out there like that at his age and with his money.

Wow... I got to the end and thought 'weird, where was Lance?'. I expected them to come across him fully kitted up out for a road ride or something.

Yeah they can fly but a most of them deserve to be t-boned at an intersection. That is just stupid what they are doing. I'm all for having fun on bikes and that is supposed to be what the fixie scene is all about but to act like a total hooligan around town ruins it for the rest of us.

That's so true Pcad!.
When I ask the non cyclist population what they think of us, some will say we're trouble makers because we run lights, ride too aggressively and cause accidents.
The others will say that cyclists are gay because we wear tight tights and all the fancy stuff.
And yet another group will say that a bicycle is a toy and grown ups should be driving a car, not riding a bike!

Yes & no. They'll see someone on a bike and that'll automatic trigger their own personal memory of riding a bike (and most of these people haven't rode a bike since they were kids). So to them, they automatically categorize all bikes as toys (not only BMXs).
I forgot another "new" category. In the past few years, with the "green" movement in full swing, I think more & more people are beginning to realize that cycling is not only a form of sport, but also a part of commuting & helping the environment. Once more people become aware of this, we (as a group) will get more respect. With the higher price of gas, I'm beginning to see much much much more cyclists on the road.

Lance is trying to get his cred with the fixster kids now?
Maybe it's like a preemptive move before he gets caught for doping (especially now that his "scientific data" article can no longer be used as a crutch).
