How many miles are on your Tarmac S-Works?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

How many miles are on your Tarmac S-Works?

I had an '05 that I destroyed a while back and I've been riding the sh*t out of my '07. How long do you think this generic Taiwan over-priced frame will last?

You treat it right it should last for 50,000+ miles; at least I hope it does.

Mine is 2 1/2 months old; 09' SL2 - 3,336 miles

You'll get bored and buy a new bike before it wears out...

about as long as any other high end overpriced carbon frame...

how many miles/km do you want out of your bike? Even cars only last so long..

I only have 2400 miles on my 08 tarmac SL2 and it's perfect. I have 11,500 miles on a Ti/carbon frame and it's like new..

Explain what happened to your frame that you apparently "destroyed." Then we'll feel bad for you.

Basically, my BB fell apart... The aluminum separated from the carbon somehow.

Fell apart**********......Maybe someone over tightened the Bottom Bracket bearings? Did Specialized replace the frame under there warranty program?
I have "abround" 25,000 miles on my 2006 S-Works. That includes smooth roads, rough roads, pot holed roads, Dirt and stone roads......etc...... Bike still LOOKS and RIDES like new. This soounds like a great oportunity to repost my bike pic

I remember your deal......You were removing your BB and it pulled the aluminum threads out. You purchased the frame used but still Specialized gave you a brand new frame. What do they get for there service to you? They get a bashing. Props to you......Tell us...What would it take for you to be a satisfied customer? Oh wait.....Your not even a Specialized customer.........

Same deal happened with my neighbor's bike - about 10K miles on his '07, and he just got a replacement '08.

08 tarmac s-works sl with about 5K on it. My only complaint is a 'soft' feeling in the rear triangle now and then. Seems others on my team have felt the same thing on their Pro model.

Hahaha.. the only real reason I got a new frame was because a very good friend of mine works at a highly regarded Specialized shop... I got lucky. I'm glad to hear yours is holding up, that's all I wanted to know
