Bike Ignoramus In Need of Some Tire Info
I bought a Giant OCR1 about a month ago, and today I got a flat. The tires were used when I bought the bike, so it's no surprise. My back tire went flat while riding, and upon examining the tire I have decided to replace it and the inner tube because they both look as though they have taken a beating.
Unfortunately, I have no clue what I'm doing.
How much will a decent 700 x 23c tire and inner tube cost?
Do I need any special tools to remove the tire that is on my rim now? It looks like it is sewed/glued onto the rim.
Is it worth it to got to my LBS that is REALLY expensive, or can I order the parts online and do it myself?
Answers to these questions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

tires range from $12-$50, and up from there.
tubes are $3-$8, depending on where you get em and what kind.
just go for the basics, i'd say.
oh, and you'll need two tire levers ($1/each?) to take off the tire. it's probably not glued on, unless it was a tubular, which i doubt.
once you got all the tools you need, see here: https://www.parktool.com/repair/readhowto.asp?id=100
