Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Another shoot for the moon on CL?

Seems a bit overpriced to me, what do you think?

A 60 inch frame would be far too big for a six footer, no?

I've seen worse things on CL. This is my current favorite from a few days ago. Please note that if you're going to give this guy a bike, he'd really prefer it be a lightweight trek or specialized. Makes me laugh every time.

Does anyone have a bike for free? - $1 (Pdx)

I am having tough times right now and was wondering if anyone would give me a bike for free so I can get to work and school. Ideally this would be a quality lightweight bicycle with gears that does not need any work. I prefer trek or specialized but will consider all. Thank you.

A few years ago? That bike has Suntour parts, and Suntour went bankrupt in the early 1990s. Try posting it in the classic and vintage section for better responses.

worth about 100-200 max..

For instance I bought a Merckx Corsa Extra w/ Record 10 for $900.00 this year, so his old cannondale is just a little over priced..

Suntour sprint is fairly decent stuff, but that dates the bike to the mid/late 80's. It's for sure worth more than $100, more like $300-400.
