What's the Significance of Tuesday?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What's the Significance of Tuesday?

I've been pondering this for a bit so I thought would ask here.

1. Its the only truly hard group riding day of the week (excluding the occasional thursday ride).
2. A couple LBS in my area have special discounts at noon every Tuesday.

Any particular reasons?

What? What're you talking about? There are no rides here whatsoever on Tuesday, and the best used bike shop, probably in the world, even closes on Tuesday.

Tuesday is dead to me. It is an empty, insignificant day. Nothing good or bad or even notable ever happened on a Tuesday. Look it up.

I think he was asking, why tuesday night crits?

The answer I've come up with in my own mind is -- race hard on the weekend, recover monday, another hard race effort on Tuesday which gives you time before the race next weekend to do a long ride and a tune-up ride without wearing yourself out.

'Don't need to. My two brothers, my father and I were all born on Tuesday, and it gets us from Monday to Wednesday. OK?

Tuesday is but one day.
How about Wednesday?
Why is it that Wednesday is referred to as "hump day" when most people get liad on the weekend?

Tuesday's bike ride is just an elaborate marketing plan to get you ready for "Thirsty Thursday"

Shouldn't it come prior to Hump Day? Maybe a couple hours prior?

Tuesday is the worst day of the week.

Monday is a fresh new start to the traditional work week.
Wednesday is "hump day".
Thursday is almost the weekend.
Friday is a more casual relaxed day at work.
Saturday is century riding day ... and what could be better than that!
Sunday is recovery ride day.

But Tuesday .... poor ol' Tuesday has nothing going for it. It's not a fresh new start, it isn't even halfway through the week yet. And the only cycling you can get in is something short after work.

So ... all these things ... Looney Tuesday fast food deals, Twonie Tuesday movie deals, and club rides are all an attempt to make Tuesday a little bit better.

Tuesday is usually the most peaceful night in the big city, where I work police patrol. That used to bore me. Now, I like it.

Tuesday is the 3rd day of the training week. Three, of course, is a mystical number. No more, no less. Grasshopper, when you are ready, the teacher will appear.

We do NOT ride on Mondays because everyone knows that TNWC (Tuesday Night World Champ) is the most important race of the year, every week.
Haha.

Around here, it's the Tuesday River Ride. It's probably the shortest of the local rides and totally flat. Should be easy, right?

Nope.

Most likely, it allows them to be open on Saturday and still be closed two days(Sunday and Tuesday) a week in order to save money on employees.
