Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Slx 01 bmc

So who has riden one? Who wants one?

I am seriously considering one.

I don't think 2499 is too bad of a price to be honest.

Any thoughts?

Hawt.
Truthfully haven't heard the best reviews of their other Alu/CF combo frames, but nothing specific to that particular one.

Reviews I have read in magazines are very good. The review on the BMC site is also glowing (go figure).

The price is frame only or package?

(I ride an SLC01 and an SLX)

2499 is the frame, fork, seat post, only...

800 less than my current frame....

One thing I have learned with my current frame is at my size I am not going to be able to be a "proper" weight weenie. So in choosing my next frame I thought I would look at performance a bit and not so much weight. My current frame and fork weights 1618 currently....most everything on it is light...SO I am thinking...same weight....added stiffness...great looks...and I can then afford a TT frame as a bonus!!!

I know I know stickers....really what frame doesn't advertise themselves? Would you not? The BMC is actually toned down more than my current bike..

No offence but BMC looks a lot better than yours.

I don't like the look of the seat states joining the seat tube below the TT. It just isn't as aesthetically pleasing.

I'm sure the frame rides great, but that's just the shallow bike nerd in me.
