Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

2004 Raleigh Team Bike Help

Can't find any real good reviews on the 2002 thru 2005 Raleigh Team bike which is the one with columbus aluminum and carbon stays and fork. I am looking into possibly buying a NOS at local bike store with campy record, not sure what the bike is like? Any inputs or personal experience would be nice. The store still has a couple and will work a great deal to get it moved of the floor.

If it's the red and black one with the Columbus Carve fork and Airplane tubing, GO BUY IT!!!!!! I had one for a couple of years and LOVED the thing. Very comfortable, yet stiff and responsive. I wouldn't mind picking up a frameset, if I could fine one. I've had Ridleys, Merckx, Specialized...and the Raleigh rode pretty damn good!

Ostensibly, it was the same bike as a Colnago Dream Plus. Same Columbus Airplane (shaped) tubing, carbon fork and carbon rear end. I realize that Colnago didn't build them, but parts is parts.

Yes it is the red/black one. What size frame set are you looking for, I know they have a few sizes on framesets left. I think I will get it....
