A friend of mine uses saddles similar to that, but without the fur.
He rode so much that his urethra basically disintegrated. They had to graph skin from the inside of his cheek to rebuild it and told him he'd never be able to ride again. Then he started riding those two bump saddles and just won the Cat 4 Everest Challenge race.
