Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Well bad credit = no security clearance. Thats actually the #1 reason why people get deined for their clearance is due to bad credit.

Why does anyone need a security clearance? Are you planning on working for the CIA?

If you do not own your home this is a BAD IDEA! If you need to so much as rent a place to live having blown off several thousand dollars in credit card payments will ensure that the only place you can rent is a place where if you put on spandex and get on a bike you will get shot or beat severely.

Good credit is not just about getting good loans, it allows renters to find good places to live, and your credit is checked when you are looking for a job as well.

I seriously hope this is a joke.

Or, just don't carry debt and you actually own your stuff. My 1 exception is a good quality mortgage that you can afford, even if out of work for a while.

This thread is headed in so many different directions.

Not only is credit used when looking for a job or place to live, it can affect other premiums, such as your car insurance.

A former co-worker of mine settled her credit card balance with Capital One for .15 on the Dollar, just a thought but that 6k Cervelo for $900 seems like a pretty good deal.

Lastly, regarding whether this is stealing or not, if I had the opportunity to steal from a credit card company, I would consider it my duty to do so. God only knows they have been stealing and raping the public for years.
