Off-the-bike shades... suggestions?
I love sunglasses. I have a pair of Smith V-Ti glasses for the bike, as well as some Rudy Projects I use when it's dark outside.
I'm looking for a pair of nice shades to wear around town. I know this isn't neccesarily related to road cycling, but roadies tend to have more fashion sense than is common for cycling folk. (What, you thought I was going to post this in the Recumbent forum?)
Any suggestions? I really like the Oakley Frogskins, but they're a bit out of my price range.

On the bike-
Oakley M Frame/ Black Iridium lenses (several other lenses in reserve)
Off the bike-
Oakley A Wire Thick/ Black Iridium lenses
Oakley Half Jackets/ Polarized XLJ lenses (several other lenses in reserve)
Oakley Half Wire/ Red Iridium Lenses
I deal with the exact same lighting conditions you do both on and off the bike.....

I love my Maui Jim Kapalua's for every day wear. Light and titanium. Now if they would just add some carbon fiber.

The girl second to the left on that picture - do you think those arm warmers do anything? I would think the shoulder area would still be cold as hell.

When I want fashion advice I ask men with shaved legs who wear stretchy pants.

I want some Livestrong Radar Path sunglasses for on and off the bike wear. But, then again, the whole concept of Livestrong is something I really want to show support for, yellow is my favorite color, and the smaller double frames look goofy on me. *shrug*

They're not arm warmers. They are sun protection, so my guess is that she was trying to even out the tan.

Bike ≠ Car ≠ Ped.
Military-issued, tinted, Rx aviators, at least until I lost them/got them stolen.
Now I've got some military-issued, tinted, Rx BCG's (aka Birth Control Goggles) that look a lot less stupid with tinted lenses. Almost like Ray-Ban Wayfarers, actually.
I might get some cycling-specific Rx sunglasses sometime, but then I'd have to pay for them myself. Then again, since I haven't paid for glasses in eight years, I could afford to splurge..

Haha. I was going to say Frogskins because I have five pairs and they are the greatest sunglasses I own for when I am off the bike, but you said they were out of your price range. So I would say some Ray Ban Wayfarers which I have 3 of. Super comfortable. Look great. Not too pricey. Get some tortoise shell ones, they go with anything.
