what size stem clamp do i need?

Hey i have some handlebars and they are 26. I need to get a new quill stem for them and i don't really know what i need...would a smaller clamp work for my handlebars? like a 25.4?

You need one that is marked 26.0

Quill stem clamp size is non negotiable, unless you like stem failures.
