Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Fully customizable Madone 5 and 6 series now up

I played around with it a little bit last night (on a dealer website). Wow. It's pretty damn slick. You chose your frame, then go from there. All groupsets are available to be put on. Of course, wheels and components are just bontrager, but it is so slick. Chose the frame color you want (3 basic options are for free, everything else costs money respectively). Bar tape colors, cable colors, hood colors (SRAM), and tire colors galore. Tons of fit options. I must say it's pretty neat. Not sure when Trek will put it all up on their Project One website (or maybe their regular Trek page). Look out for it and play around with it when it becomes available.

I "built" a bike on Project One, and it wasn't even the top of the line Madone...$5,000. No thanks.

So does IRO, but the Treks come in more colors than IRO's bikes do (dunno about Orbeas)..
