Any Interest in a Novatec Hub Group Buy?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Any Interest in a Novatec Hub Group Buy?

I am thinking about putting together a hub buy and want to gauge interest.

32 Hole, 377g, 2 sealed bearings, CroMo axle, Shimano 8/9 (new 10).

32 Hole, 120g, 2 sealed bearings, Aluminum axle.

I haven't contacted the vendor yet so I don't have pricing or delivery dates. Just wondering if I should invest the time or not.

Thoughts?

Yes, there are 24 and 28 hole hubs for this model.

There is another model I was looking at with 20/24/28 hole versions.

Hmm - well, they've improved their design. Maybe I won't rip spokes through the drive side rear hub flange on these...

See I knew there was a catch. I would be interested especially if there are going to be 28 hole fronts.

I also would want a date by which I was going to get my hubs. Seriously the other hub group buy has me a bit soured on this whole process right now.

Would you like to buy my Philippine Island? It's a magical island. It disappears during high tide.

I am looking at a short and sweet deal. I don't want any group buy to drag on too long.

I would have a delivery date once I placed the order. I might be able to get an approximation before then but nothing concrete until the money is in the vendor's bank account.

No Campy is going to be a killer for me...my only non Campy bike is my CX bike and it has a decent set of wheels. Oh well.

If I step up to the next hub in their line it is both lighter and available in Shim 8/9/10, Shimano HG10, Sram and Campagnolo 9/10 compatible versions.

The point of this thread was to gauge interest and nail down the spec of a possible group buy. Thanks for your input.

Too heavy

Significantly lighter, and I'd be interested. Novatec makes some pretty decent hubs, looking at their online catalogue.
