Thanks (at least I think so... it sounds like you're stating this is true). Can anyone confirm or deny that the bike has metal dropouts?
It's on my very short list, and I'm just curious about its "crashability"-- provided of course that it doesn't just EXPLODE

TCR Advanced SL...Top of the line frame, higher level carbon fiber-T800, and manufacturing technique, most models have ISP
TCR Advanced...Lesser carbon fiber-T700, manufacturing technique cheaper, supposedly still stiffer than the '08 with the higher level T800 carbon, no ISP
They sell the TCR Alliance or something too which looks like the same frame from previous years

Weight for my advanced 2 before I swapped stuff was 18.8 for a size large with plastic platform pedals. 18.03 after the swap and throwing on some eggbeaters.

Shrug. I crashed my 06 TCR at least three times and it was fine each time. Carbon isn't going to crash like steel though, so it really depends on the kind of impact.

I got pushed into a barrier @ 35mph, the bike went about 30' down the road... that didn't harm the bike... then someone ran into it @ ~35mph and put a small crack in the seat stay - its being repaired. I was suprised that was the only damage. It all depends on how it gets hit in the crash though, could have been much worse.

I was fortunate to ride vast number of bikes at the Interibike east show in Oct and honestly found the TCR Advanced SL to be to my liking the best overall, but thats just me.
