Old news...
And they're riding SRAM equipped Kuotas as well...saw one of the TT bikes a couple of weeks ago in Charlotte. It was swanky.

I had been under the impression that manufacture of the replacement hip was going to be the primary sponsor. Smith and Nephew the hip manufacture has been sponsoring a local Memphis team as well as a race for many years now. It would have been a natural fit.

Just sayin'.
And then it was positive because of his thyroid gland.
And then because of dehydration (never mind the 10 gallons of water he had the day before).
And then because of some incomprehensible pseudo-scientific theories concocted by his lawyers.
And then it was because of the French (a classic by now).
And then ....

Landis is the guy who said that his positive test came about because of drinking multiple shots of Jack Daniels and Beer the day before stage 17 right?

We rode. 43 miles, starting temp about 20ºF, finishing temp 28ºF, wicked NW wind blowing a steady 20 mph. It was gnarly, but as all rides with unGodly wind-chill temps, not nearly so bad after the first 10 minutes and much more tolerable riding with a friend over to a fast competitive group ride. A ride of that description is considerably harsher when you're grinding into the friggin Maw of Winter alone @ 15mph for three hours.

When you decide to become a fan -- short for fanatic after all -- you decide to leave your intelligence and objectivity at the door.
Not that there's anything wrong with that. As long as you are aware of it.

We're all fanatics, biking fanatics . . . that's why we're here . . . otherwise we'd be doing something constructive with our lives.

True. But it doesn't follow that I am going to believe Landis's lies. Those who do, are Landis fanatics. There can be a difference between the two, thank god.

You are assuming that just because some of us are still his fans that we believe everything that was said? I never said that I believe he was clean but I am willing to believe he did his time and paid his dues. Landis got caught doing what the majority of the peleton does. Nothing more and nothing less. Don't hate the players....hate the game.

And agreed, he got caught doing what the great majority of the peloton does.
I just found his hardheadedness in this whole ordeal unwarranted. By making such a fuss over his "innocence" he dragged the whole process out and that wasn't good for cycling. Nobody's seeing Vino with his hand out for defense funds, thank goodness. He's just doing his time -- quietly.

I honestly feel that there is more to the Landis story then we are hearing. I agree he was guilty, no question but I also feel that a lot of it just didn't add up. Hopefully this new team will allow him to show once again what he is capable of.
