Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I nominate myself for demonstrating an unwavering devotion to the futile pursuit of the ultimate paint job of a mass produced frame, to no avail whatsoever, hopefully inspiring all of you all with my incredibly lame and pointless quest.

4.5 years and still counting....long enough that most here now aren't even familiar with the story.

The most recent "Tete Update" thread should always be a sticky.

The shear volume of your threads, no matter how pointless, underly a deeper and darker purpose. You seek to produce volume. You seek that elusive and seemingly unattainable 50,000 posts number. I'm sorry, I can't second the motion.

You are welcome.

Additionally, the ever popular threads:

I dropped or got dropped threads.

I propose we post one last and most meaningful thread and then close the road forum down to any further posting. All topics have been discussed and we can cannonize what is here as the Roadie's Holy Book. The final thread should be:

HTFU or Shut up and Ride for those who are of a more sensitive nature.....

Quite true. I admire your grit and determination, your stamina, your ability to cut through the information at hand and reduce it to its most meaningless kernal. However, my orginal contention is also true and I will bang my little drum and point out the transparancy of your actions to those who cannot or will not see.

I vote for....... me. I have been around for over a year and have contributed nothing noteworthy to the BF. I ride less than 100-miles per week. Considered a clydesdale and find myself the brunt of many snide remarks from my original posts and subsequent responses. I hate myself in the mirror too. The best part of my riding is my bike which I'm probably not worthy of owning.

Thank you in advance for your antipated cooperation.

I should be nominated I won't because:

- No one reads my threads.
- Once I post the thread is as good as dead.

For these two reason this thread will probably dissapear.
