Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Compare bikes

I ride a 2003 KHS Flite 500 with tiagra/sora components, carbon fork and neuvation radial wheels and bontrager tires. so far it's been an awesome ride, easily picks up to 35 miles/hour and is pretty light too. I got a GREAT deal for it because a bought it from a store that didn's carry KHS and knew very little about it.
I recently found an add for a 2000 trek 1000 about which I know nothing except for it has the us postal service paint job. I haven't even seen a picture and don't know how much it costs. I guess just because it's a trek it got my atention.
Does anybody knows anything about the trek?
Is anybody able to compare those two models/components?
as always, thank you for your help.
