Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Congrats on completing the ride - it's a great feeling isn't it?

I hate to sound naive (more like ignorant) - but where the heck is that? Being a U.S. left coaster all my life, the only name on that map I recognize is Santa Catalina - but it's not the one I know. The coastal scenery must have been gorgeous.

there are lots of organized rides everywhere.. When I was in Pampanga, we also had similar rides..

But so far, this ride was the fastest and one of the hardest.. The climbs are unforgiving..

We had one support truck plus some support personel(medic, mechanic, etc.). The rest of the group will ride around the province.

I didn't bring a camera with me, but some of my buddies did.. They will be arriving this morning after the >300km ride, 5 of us retired , our bodies were not meant for double centuries, only a century and we're thru ... I can't wait to download the pics..
