wheel advice ksyrium sl
I just got an opportunity to buy the 2008 ksyrium sl wheels for about 700 out the door at a friends shop, is this a good deal. i know they usually run 950 new. is this a good deal or should the 08's all be priced similarly?
reason i ask is because i actually wanted to get a set of easton ea90slx before this offer.

$700?
Still not worth it.
Start looking for 2008 Eastons on close out. They can be had for $500 or less.
Either that, or handbuilts.

That sounds like a lot. Didn't they used to be like $700 new?

I think that's about what I paid for my SL3s. Did they jack the price up when did the whole ES->SL switch and added the "SL Premium"?

okay thanks.
i just figured it was good because they seem to go for 950 online. and the fact that i don't need to ship them is a big plus. i think the eastons are on sale at nashbar for 599 with 15% off

Too much.
I love my SLs (I have them on 3 bikes) but I bought them all used on ebay. They are not the lightest but they are almost bulletproof and I like the way the bearings are adjusted after they are on the bike.
They are great $300 wheels. $700? Never!
