Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Recently traded an Ultegra crank for Stronglight Fission 53/39 on my Masi Gran Crit. The Stronglight seems a bit stiffer, with less flex. The bling factor is significant as well. Just wondering if anybody else has used this crank and what experience you have had.

Could it be stiffer with more flex?

Fission? In MY crank? It might be more likely as you think.

Just bought a set of Stronglight Helions with the "Activ-link". I'm sorry that I can't speak about the Fission, but how did your installation go? Do you have the double walled bearing cups with the activ link setup? Or the Isis drop in BB? Just curious as I'm having fits with mine. Had a bad bearing right out of the box. On it's way back to the UK for replacement. This BB seems to me a REAL paid to dial in.
