Major design flaw in Power Bars, I forsee a recall

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The best way to realize how bad power bars really are is to go for a 6 hour ride and follow the 200-260 calorie per hour rule.

In the first hour take in a power bar, at the start of the second hour take in a power bar. Then at the start of the third hour take in a cliff bar then switch back and forth for the rest of the ride.

Then...only use Hammer products.

It's protein and sugar. Exactly what you need to keep moving.

I eat them in between boxes of Clif Bars.

Been there done that, all sugars/carbohydrates are not equal. Just because a power bar, snickers bar, cliff bar, and hammer bar have near the same amounts of sugar and calories does not mean they'll be absorbed the same by your body.

These days I'm all perpetuem if I'm going out longer than 3 hours, I'm over solid foods. I gotta say Hammer Bars are too damn expensive outside of a couple a month.

There's a Recall Announcements forum, you know. I'm sure the mods will be moving this thread over there.

Any minute now.

Really.

Warm it up by shoving it down your shorts and it'll be nicely soft and chewy.
