Do you drink beer while working on bikes?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Is that what the "spray paint ball thingy" is called, a widget? How exactly do draft cans work?
Always wondered. Too lazy to Google.

The widget releases nitrogen into the can. Just enough to give the nice head, but not enough to make the whole glass over-bubbly.

Whoa... Awesome.
I love beer. I love draught beer. I love draught beer in draught cans with widgets.

I think it's illegal in some states not to have an open container near a bike stand.

Rudesiggy,

Didn't you say you wouldn't be hungover tomorrow? We're gonna make you work off those beers.

Guiness lovers need to check this out:

https://www.guinness.com/us_en/surger/

I was playing golf this spring and the bar had one of these. Basically, they take a special "flat" can of Guiness (no widget in it...special stuff). They pour it in a glass. Then the bartender sets it on this little stand and hits the button.

Pure magic happens.

An ultrasonic vibration hits the glass from the stand and the famous Guiness cascade and head magically appears.

Seriously, we probably ordered an extra 2 or 3 rounds just to watch this fantastic magic trick. Way cool.

She has a good sense of humor about it because 1/2 of my bike repair time is spent on her bikes.

If you guys like beer and bikes so much, you need to make it to the Tour de Gruene and Wurstfest. A 10 day long festival of beer and brats with bike rides/races on both weekends. Plus Lance said that he and College were coming back next year to defend the ITT and TTT titles.

How about Oban?

Oh, you said ALE; my bad...

I've been known to have a few fingers of single malt while doing minor tune-ups; improves the patience factor a bit (although it might also why I have to be patient ).

I'm a big fan of Sam Adams. Fell in love with the Octoberfest and now it's gone. Their Scotch Ale isn't bad, the Honey Lager and Porter are good too. Not too many microbrews around town unless you go north to State College, I hear they have some good ones. I have the Park Tool bottle openner Grasschopper has, probably came from the same shop too. I could only find it in one bike shop around here. Love that thing.

The mechanics at Bikes Direct seem to. I believe the staff who responds to emails might be a bit tipsy as well while working...

I also enjoy sipping on a nice big glass of Merlot when I'm out in the garage working on bikes.
