All the best, and thanks for speaking up. Male issues simply don't get the attention needed for so many reasons. It is the courage of individuals as yourself that end up bringing the issue to the forefront to persuade others to pro-actively combat this. Thanks again.

I kept putting off going to get things checked out until the day after Christmas, which lead to a series of Doctors appointments, and blood tests. At one point there was speculation that I might have Male breast cancer, so I was sent for a bilateral mammogram. Not a pleasant experience, for sure.

While they were setting up a biopsy, I suggested that they look lower, and they finally agreed, which lead to an ultrasound on New Years Eve day. Once they found what they were looking for, they set up the soonest appointment for an orchiectomy that they could - January 2nd.

Thanks for giving me another reason to rub my balls (this one and for good luck). Also, thanks for the inspiration and good news. Finally a useful thread.

    Happy anniversary?

It seems not appropriate, but I suppose - either way - many more years to come.

Botto, good sharing. In 2004, while showering I found a lump in that area. My internist thought testicular cancer and tried to keep me calm by pointing out the success of Lance (I wasn't into cycling but was familiar with his story). The urologist had good news and bad news. The good was that it was merely a cyst. The bad was that the PSA and free PSA test indicated prostate cancer. I found the best cutter on the coast ( I wanted someone who'd done thousands of procedures not hundreds) and his skill left me cancer free and functioning normally.
Gentlemen, the point being made by Botto and myself is that you cannot ignore a symptom, it won't cure itself, you must be proactive and only you can do that.

Fixed. Don't want us older folk thinking we're in the clear.
