Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Fit is everything. However a 6.9 Madone for $2500.00. It would be worth it to buy it, and worst case flip it for $3500.00. You CAN'T go wrong!

...what kind of bike are you riding now?
the madone is weird the ETT is relatively short for its said sizes, also is it a performance or pro fit? compare your geometries and ride it.

I admire your integrity. You have to live with yourself. Everything is not about money.

That's the right thng to do, buy it and ride it or don't buy it. Making money off your friends generosity is pretty low IMO. Probably a good way to lose a friend too.

Buy it ride it if you don't like it sell it and give your friend the difference in the sale vs. your purchase.
