Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

tt saddle on road bike?

i have been having some issues with my saddle. i have ridden it for about 1.5 years and am now starting to get some numbness after about 45min of riding. if i stand for 30sec or so everything goes back to normal. i tend to ride the nose more than most people and was wondering if a tt saddle would work better for me? currently i have a san marco skn. any other saddles you may suggest would help. i have already tries an arione with no luck.
thanks

TT saddles are for TTs, where, for various reasons, you are sometimes forced forward onto the nose. That is not the case for a road bike.

The solution to your problem is to set your bike up so that your sit bones are taking your weight rather than having your soft tissue (forward of the sit bones) on the nose of the saddle. Sounds like you are simply too far forward. This may be b/c your saddle is too far back, or b/c you are on a frame/stem combination that is too long, or both.
