Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Wondering how dirty they are going to get? I see the middle area is still black but curious to see pics on a bike...

If you want them to stay fairly clean (and white) looking, you have to wipe them down with soapy water or something similar every couple of rides. It's a bit of a pain. I had just wiped these down with simple green and water before I took the photos. The tires do ride very, very nice with the 290tpi. I have since put black Challenge Criterium clinchers (300tpi) on the bike. The reason I took the Vittoria's off was the white color not looking good unless I cleaned them quite often:

Great bike. ^

I have some white tires on my beater. Brake dust grime makes the tire look much worse than road dirt on the tires.

They don't discolor as much as just get gray and dirty...
