BUT $5555.00?!?
Hmmmmm.....it does come with batteries!
https://www.sbrshop.com/store/product..._term=ccn-0005
Should I just "Pull the Trigger" as the financial apocalypse is wiping out all of mankind anyway....OR, do I hope that the apocalypse passes and prices come down in the next 6 months.....tough choices!

What have they left out? The small paragraph at the bottom of the description lists crank, brakes, etc. Looks like the full group to me.
Lowest price I've seen so far! (First one, too.)

Oh, that'll work. They'll sell lots of those.
That does take the hotly contested and widely coveted Pcad Preposterously Overpriced Bike Crap Trophy, beating out such worthy contenders as Lightweight wheels.
How much you want to bet the 'batteries' are .02 Taiwanese throw away non-alkaline pieces of crap? That would be the fitting final touch right there.

I think that's the full group except for the chain. Cables have to be included, otherwise it would be kinda stupid. It's not like you can just run over to the LBS and buy some shifter cables...

Lets see what electric Record goes for...
What ever happened to that by the way? It started showing up on test rides in magazines long before electric DA...
And once Campy has it, SRAM will have to follow pretty soon too...
And wasn't FSA 'about to' put out a groupset?

If those inscrutable little Japanese weasels can do anything it's make the best electronic crap on the planet. I think they've established that beyond any doubt.

Botto thinks in 2-3 years it'll be priced right........with the global economy tanking, I'm thinking....in 6 months tops.
I do want it though.....just not at this price........besides, all bike stuff is overpriced crap....it just comes down to each buyers perceived affordable over-priced bike crap $$ threshold.

gotta admire the business model. The margins are good, and the float is awesome.

If Shimano is selling lots of electronic groups, you can bet that Campy's comes out in a year or two. If all the Campy users are rushing to 11 speeds you can bet that an 11 speed Shimano group will be out the next year.
We all should be happy. This is the first significant split between the two companies' offerings in over a decade, since Shimano came out with STI. Throw in SRAM as the third choice and amateur roadie consumers have never had it so good.

Actually Mr. Wizard, I bought one pair, exchanged it for two more, then got a full refund after all that. To Sidi's credit, their U.S. distributor was quite cooperative, but it does baffle me that they would put a product that was clearly not ready for prime time. I ride with a guy who until last week was Sidi's local distributor (he dumped them). Virtually NONE of those footbeds ever worked right.
