Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My 2009 Orbea Orca is in!

I just picked up my 2009 Orbea Orca. Everything on it is a hand me down from my Onix except the frame, fork, and seatpost. Here's a bad pic (the shadows are everywhere at this time of day), but it's a start. I'll post some better pictures and my thoughts after getting in about 90 miles Saturday and Sunday.

Congrats, that is a nice looking bike.

I just ordered my crash replacement 09 Orca last night, should be here is a week and a half! For the price that Orbea gave the frame they have a customer for life!

Thanks!

I've only got 5 miles on it from when I picked it up to get everything adjusted right. I'll have better input in a few days.

Nice bike but that stem looks mighty short. I really like the matte color.

(thud) wow, beautiful! Black looks so hawt.

I'm jealous of the bike...and also that you have green grass in your yard. We are under at least a foot of snow here in NE Ohio

+1

When I ordered my first 09 I ordered the black but they shipped the white instead, I am sticking with the white because I like bikes to be shiny.

We have the opposite problem here in San Antonio, have not had a decent rain in at least 6 months so all my grass is brown/dirt

Yeah, it's dry as hell here. The garbage guy dropped my garbage can on the front yard too hard last week and it left divots that I can't stamp back down. True story.

Beautiful bike. I've got a 80 mm stem, flipped up, too.

Enjoy it.

Seams like it is:

1) Getting new Orca finally
2) Brother-in-law is shipping down bike rack he never uses
3) GPS was given to me because the owner is going to South Korea for a year

Now if I could just find a job it would be perfect

Easy on the job wish. That would mean less time away from your bike.
